Tina Dickow
Frederiksberg, Copenhagen
31. May 2008

Not until the day before I became aware that one of my absolute favorite artists of all time, Tina Dickow, was to give a free concert at Solbjerg Plads, Frederiksberg in Copenhagen.
I hadn't heard the songs from the most recent album in live versions, so I was present up front the outdoor stage where she was to perform together with 1980's Danish band One Two (See the pictures of One Two here ).

Tina was in very good mood playing for the first time with her band for a long time. Several times she made a gradual transition from one song to the next. What I recall most clearly was the wonderful acoustic version of Use Me and the fabulous Medley of early songs (song no. 8), which she managed to let sound like one continous song.
No Time To Sleep was new to me. Tina introduced the song by claiming that this song proberly was the closest she ever got to write a protest song!

Tina stayed backstage during One Two's entire set and she watched a large part of their performance from the right side of the stage, talking with the soundman, often laughing and sometime even dancing.
